Chick-fil-A Is Donating $10.8 Million Across Its Franchises To Held Fund COVID-19 Relief Efforts
Chick-fil-A is continuing to provide food for customers via drive-thru and delivery, and now the company is donating money to its franchises in order to do more. Chick-fil-A is distributing more than $10.8 million to better provide resources to local communities.

That money will be dispersed to Chick-fil-A's network of over 1,800 independently owned locations. The funds will be given out through June in order to help communities directly impacted by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this money is to help alleviate the costs of food donations or items for first responders, health care workers, Chick-fil-A team members, and their families.
Additionally, since 2012, Chick-fil-A has had a food donation program called Chick-fil-A Shared Table that has been giving surplus food to local shelters, soup kitchens, and charities. According to a news release by the company, this program has provided 320,000 since the beginning of March.
Chick-fil-A Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Dan Cathy said that these donation programs during the coronavirus crisis are at the heart of Chick-fil-A's mission:

Our restaurant Operators give back locally in so many ways, and this time is no exception,” he said. “I’m humbled by the incredible care our restaurant teams have shown – from offering free meals to health care workers to feeding school children in need to writing notes of encouragement for guests. They know where the need is in their local community, and our goal for this fund is to support their efforts.
