Celebrate National Sandwich Day With Free Chicken Sandwiches From Popeyes

Nov. 2 is National Sandwich Day, and Popeyes is celebrating in a big way. To mark the occasion, the fast food chain will be giving away chicken sandwiches from now until Nov. 12.

It's part of a buy-one-get-one offering that can only be ordered through the Popeyes mobile app for pick-up or delivery. Customers who buy one chicken sandwich combo can get another chicken sandwich for free. In addition to the sandwich, a combo comes with a drink and a side like biscuits, Cajun fries, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, and more.

If you opt for the BOGO deal, you can choose between Popeyes' different chicken sandwiches to complete your order. This includes the original chicken sandwich, the spicy chicken sandwich, and the new spicy "Truff" chicken sandwich, unveiled last month as a collaboration with truffle condiment producer Truff. You can also have bacon and cheese added to your sandwich if you so desire.

The Popeyes chicken sandwich was a cultural phenomenon when it launched back in 2019. Locations around the country were quickly selling out of the product and long lines snaked around blocks as fans everywhere tried to get their hands—and their mouths—on one. It also set off a social media firestorm as Popeyes began beefing (no pun intended) with Chick-fil-A and Wendy's online over the fact that they've already been serving chicken sandwiches.
