Celeb parents share back-to-school photos of their little ones

Although many things about school have changed over the past few years (peace out, pencils; hello, tablets), the tradition of first-day-of-school photos continues. And famous parents are just like the rest of us in documenting the big event. From first-timers like gold-medalist Michael Phelps’s son Boomer, to back-to-school vets like Busy Philipps’s daughters, even celebs can’t help but snap pics of their little ones before the big day!

So to celebrate the back-to-school season, we rounded up some of our favorite first-day-of-school photos celebrity parents shared of their kids this year.

Chrissy Teigen gushed over her 2-year-old daughter on Luna’s first day of preschool. She shared a photo of Luna holding the little family photo album they made for her to look at if she gets sad or upset while away from her parents. Can you say “awww”?!

While Luna was starting preschool, some kids were off to their first day of elementary school. Wiz Khalifa sent his son, Sebastian “Bash” Taylor, to his first day of kindergarten. Wiz showed off his more vulnerable side and revealed that he was a bit nervous sending Bash on the bus all by himself. But those nerves seemed to settle when Bash told him what a success the first day was. Talk about a proud dad!

Philipps’s daughters are back-to-school vets but that doesn’t mean it was easy for their famous mom to say “goodbye.” “I don’t really understand how my kids are so big but here we are,” she wrote on Instagram.
