Cedar Point fireworks to 'Light Up The Point' for July 4th. Here's how to see the show
Cedar Point is ready to Light Up The Point on Thursday and Friday for the Sandusky, Ohio, amusement park's Independence Day celebration.
Billed by the park as "one of the largest fireworks displays in the Midwest," Light Up The Point will start to launch at 10 p.m. both nights above Cedar Point Beach near the front of the park. The display will be accompanied by a soundtrack of patriotic tunes and today's hits. And Cedar Point is staying open an hour later on Thursday, July 4—until 11 p.m.—for the event.
Here's how you can see the show.
Tickets available for Cedar Point's VIP Beach Experience on July Fourth
You don't need a separate ticket for the fireworks display, unless you want to upgrade.
The VIP Beach Experience will run from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Tickets include:
A seat in the reserved VIP section on Cedar Point Beach.
An all-you-can-eat meal and one bottled beverage inside the VIP viewing area.
Access to an exclusive beach bar.
Tickets are $54.99, or $49.99 for passholders, and are available on Cedar Point's website.
Watch the Cedar Point fireworks display for free
Of course, you don't actually need to be in the park to watch the Cedar Point show.
The Sandusky Register reports that fireworks can be viewed from many points along Sandusky's shoreline, like the Jackson Street Pier, Shoreline Park and the Sandusky Bay Pavilion.
