The Cast Of Netflix’s New ‘Selena’ Looks Exactly Like Their Real-Life Counterparts

Prepare to get your bidi bidi bom bom binge-watch on. Selena: The Series is coming to Netflix this year. The scripted drama will follow the story of the Tejano music legend Selena Quintanilla, through her childhood and career in the 1980s and early 1990s. (If you're unfamiliar, consider Tejano the get-up-and-dance Tex-Mex of music.) This is one binge-worthy show made to get you off of your couch and moving right along.

"Mexican-American Tejano singer Selena comes of age and realizes her dreams, she and her family make tough choices to hold on to love and music," according to Netflix.

Unfortunately, Selena's story has a sad ending: She was only 23 years old when she was fatally shot by her fan club president and friend Yolanda Saldívar. This year marks the 25th anniversary of her tragic death.
