CASI, Davenport, presents Mrs. Roper Romp Brunch
CASI – the Center for Active Seniors, Inc. – will host its first Mrs. Roper Romp Brunch and music bingo on Saturday, Aug. 24, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., according to a news release.
Mrs. Roper Romps are popping up regularly in cities across the country in celebration of Helen Roper, the confident, quirky, wisecracking, caftan-wearing life-of-the-party landlady played by Audra Lindley on the hit sitcom, “Three’s Company” from 1977-1984.
Guests are encouraged to wear caftans and red curly wigs as they enjoy brunch and ’70s music bingo. Local favorite Rock n’ Roll Bingo of the Quad Cities, Inc will emcee and provide musical entertainment.
“Stanleys” “Chrissies,” “Jacks,” “Janets” and “Mr. Furleys” are welcome too.
There will be a cash bar, with $10 bottomless mimosas and drinks including the “Rum and Knock on Our Door” and “Jack Tripper on a Ripper.” Mocktails also will be available.
Cost is $20 per person in advance. That includes brunch, a bingo card and one bar drink (cocktail, mocktail, or soda). Tickets will be $25 at the door. Tickets can be purchased by calling CASI at 563-386-7477.
Funds raised will go to CASI programs and services to assist area seniors.
