Carrie Underwood Fans Have A Lot to Say After Seeing the iHeart Radio Music Awards Nominations
With an American Idol victory, 7 Grammys and over 100 other accolades under her belt, Carrie Underwood may be getting ready to add another award to add to her impressive collection.
After completing her stellar Las Vegas residency and shocking fans when she appeared in the hit Netflix series Cobra Kai, the "Before He Cheats" singer announced exciting career news on Instagram. Carrie and fellow country star Jason Aldean have been nominated for not one, but TWO awards at the upcoming iHeart Radio Music Awards for Best Collaboration and Country Song of the Year. Their song "If I Didn't Love You" was released last July and immediately hit the country music charts. The duet even earned a Grammy nomination for Best Country Duo/Group Performance.
Carrie shared the exciting news with fans and captioned the post with "Thanks so much for all the ?? for this song! #iHeartAwards @jasonaldean"
Of course, Carrie's fans blew up her comment section with fire emojis and applause after dropping the news. "I hope you win! This song is a HIT ??," "Yessss????????," "Yes Legend ????," and "So well deserved. ?? ??" were just some of the messages fans left. One person even said, "Performance? ??" and now we can't help but wonder if Carrie will be hitting the stage with Jason Aldean at the upcoming award show.
The duo previously performed "If I Didn't Love You" on the 2021 CMA Awards, but I think all fans can agree that another go at performing it live is well overdue. Fingers crossed!
The performance garnered a ton of attention from fans who simply couldn't get enough of the talented duo.
We've got to admit that Carrie and Jason's song has some stiff competition at the awards show, including Luke Combs, Justin Bieber, Gabby Barrett, and more. 2021 may have been another weird year, but it sure did give us some great music to get through our ups and downs.
Mark your calendars for Tuesday, March 22 at 8/7c. The 2022 iHeart Radio Music Awards airs live on FOX and fans are encouraged to vote for their favorites. Whatever the outcome, you can bet we'll be rooting for Carrie and Jason from the comfort of our couch!
