Carnival benefiting kids with cancer coming up in Sayre

SAYRE, Pa. (WETM) — Northern Tier residents can help local families battling childhood cancer by attending a carnival in Sayre this weekend.

Sam’s Bar and Grill, located at 912 N. Wilbur Ave., is holding the Kids Can’t Fight Cancer Alone (KCFCA) Carnival on Saturday, July 13, to benefit the KCFCA charity. There will be fun for the whole family from noon until 5 p.m.

The stars might be brighter at Cherry Springs State Park due to these upcoming changes

This carnival will feature bounce houses, face painting, costume characters, games, music, an ice cream truck and other snacks, and more. Sam’s will also be offering dinners along with auctions and raffles for adults to participate in. After the carnival, Gary Hurley will play a live acoustic set from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Tickets for the carnival cost $10, and all proceeds will go to KCFCA. KCFCA provides emotional support and resources to families that have children with cancer in Bradford, Tioga, and Sullivan counties starting at the time their children are diagnosed. This organization is run entirely by volunteers, and all money raised stays in the Northern Tier.
