This California Coffee Shop Is Printing Images Of Kobe Bryant On Lattes
Everyone from close friends and celebrities to anyone who’s ever thrown a basketball is now mourning the tragic death of Kobe Bryant. At a California coffee shop, customers are paying tribute to the basketball legend by requesting photos of him on their drinks.
The month-old Immigrant Son Caffé in Ventura was very busy when the news broke about the helicopter crash this past weekend, the shop’s owner Alessandro Tromba told FOX 11. The coffee joint is known for printing images on its drinks using a Ripple Maker, which burns any image you want into the foam by sending it to the machine through an app. People started sending in images of Kobe to honor him once they heard the news.
“To be honest, we can not take a lot of credit for the Kobe Bryant thing,” Tromba said: “We credit our customers for thinking of that, because they started sending in picture dedications of Kobe to our machine...And I do not mean one or two, we are probably near 100 of them.”

Some of the images people have sent in have been solo shots of Kobe, photos of him and his daughter Gianna, who also died in the crash, and pictures of “The Black Mamba” logo.

“There [were] two beautiful girls over there a couple of days ago and they didn’t take one sip of the coffee,” Tromba said. “Even when they left, the cup was still full and they had tears in their eyes. It was really sweet.”
