Butler County EMS hosts middle schoolers for kids camp
WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Middle schoolers in El Dorado had a chance to see first responders in action on Thursday.
Butler County EMS held its 22nd year of kids camp. Fifth, sixth and seventh graders spent the day learning about what first responders do.
The kids got to participate in various pieces of training, including vehicle extrication.
Wheat harvest is ‘no comparison’ to last year
“Well, there’s huge benefits,” Chief of Butler County EMS end rescue squad Frank Williams said. “Number one is to educate kids on safety and everyday activities that they do, whether it be swimming, boating, out on the roadway, driving, first aid skills, CPR.”
The kids camp runs through Friday, June 14.
