Buffalo church offering free LGBTQ+ weddings on Saturday
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo church is offering free weddings for LGBTQ+ couples this weekend as a part of their “Buffalo’s Big Gay Wedding” event.
Couples can tie the knot between noon and 4 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Episcopal Church located at 371 Delaware Ave. Those interested will have to choose an hour-long timeslot. The ceremony will include a minister and musical accompaniment. The church will provide witnesses if needed, multiple types of services, including a secular service and donations from local bakeries.
Couples will have to obtain a marriage license at least 24 hours in advance of the ceremony and bring it with them. A marriage certificate for ministers to sign is optional.
