Britney Spears' Ex-Husband Jason Alexander Reportedly Arrested in Tennessee
Britney Spears' ex-husband Jason Alexander has been arrested for stalking again.
TMZ reports that the man who infamously was married to the pop icon for 55 hours back in 2004 is being held in a Tennessee jail, where he was taken in at around 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 2.
Authorities have not shared details of who Alexander was allegedly stalking.
Alexander was previously arrested for crashing Spears' wedding in June 2022 held at the singer's home, where he allegedly told security that his ex had invited him. He was able to make it inside the house while live-streaming it.
A security guard named Richard Eubler detailed his account of Alexander's actions. "I was just at the staircase, and that’s when he backed up and started reaching out of his right-hand pocket," said the guard in court.
Eubler recalled that Alexander made it as far as reaching Spears' bedroom while she was getting ready for her wedding, trying to open her locked door. That's when the security guard approached him. "I was just at the staircase, and that’s when he backed up and started reaching out of his right-hand pocket,” said Eubler.
The security guard also said that Alexander elbowed and punched him while trying to break away to find Spears.
At the time of Alexander's arrest at Spears' home, the pop star's lawyer Matthew Rosengart told TMZ, "I am personally working with the sheriff's department to ensure Mr. Alexander is aggressively prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law." Spears was able to get a restraining order, which requires Alexander to stay at least 100 yards away from her for three years. He is also not allowed to contact her.
The news of Alexander's latest trouble with the law comes three months after Page Six broke the news of Alexander marrying a woman named Rebecca Hall.
