Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk Agreed to Live in the Same City as Part of Their Custody Agreement
Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk will be living in the same city—New York City, specifically—as part of their agreement to share custody of their two-year-old daughter Lea de Seine, TMZ is reporting. Multiple sources connected to Cooper and Shayk told the outlet that the former couple has agreed to split physical and legal custody of Lea 50/50, although Lea's exact schedule with each parent will vary from month to month depending on Shayk and Cooper's work schedules.
Apparently, the two are so devoted to co-parenting that they don't have a formal written custody agreement, TMZ's sources added. They chose to both live in New York City over Los Angeles.
TMZ's report reflects what sources told Peopleafter Shayk and Cooper's breakup was initially announced: That they really remain devoted to Lea.
“Irina’s number one priority is their daughter,” a source close to the couple told the outlet in June. “She is such a hands-on mom. She takes her to the park, to classes, to playdates, and just adores her."
Cooper is also committed to being there for his little girl. “For Lea’s sake, they keep spending time together as a family,” a second source told the outlet. “Bradley is a great dad. He has always been very involved with his daughter.”
Shayk talked a little to Harper's Bazaarin an interview conducted shortly before her and Cooper's breakup about whether being separated from her daughter for work sometimes is challenging. “There is no real challenge,” Shayk said of motherhood in general. “I really believe if you love something, you can prioritize your time. [Motherhood] is just an addition to your life.”
