Bourbon & Blues tasting event returns to Terre Haute
The Bourbon & Blues tasting event will be from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Aug. 30 at Hulman Center.
Featured artist for the event by the Terre Haute Symphony and Labor Link will be St. Louis blues artist Brian Curran alongside Solly Burton and Brent McPike. Learn more about Curran at www.briancurran.com or listen to his music on YouTube.
There will be bourbon tastings from 16 vendors, a BBQ buffet catered by Butta’s Better BBQ, and a cash bar with special event cocktails by The Verve.
Tickets
Tickets can be purchased at www.thso.org or by calling the Terre Haute Symphony office at 812-242-8476. All tickets include a concert ticket and BBQ buffet. Standard tickets also include a bourbon tasting bracelet with 12 tastings for general admission and 14 tastings for VIP. VIP ticket holders are granted early entry at 5:30 p.m. General admission entry is at 6:30 p.m.
Ticket prices are: standard VIP, $75; non-bourbon VIP, $60; standard general admission, $60; non-bourbon general admission, $45.
All standard ticket holders must be over 21 and show ID at the door. Guests can also purchase a non-bourbon ticket and purchase their favorite drink at the cash bar.
Guests will be able to browse a silent auction with bourbon baskets, select a mystery gift at the Bourbon Pull, or purchase your favorite product.
All proceeds from the event directly benefit the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra.
Confirmed vendors include McCormick Distilling Company, Luxco, Four Roses, Deep Eddy Vodka, Twenty20 Beverage Company, Log Still Distillery, Uncle Nearest, Inc., Hotel Tango Distillery, Edrington, Sugarlands Distilling Company, St. Elmo Steak House, William Grant & Sons, Bardstown Bourbon Company, Green River Distilling Company, and more.
Guests will have a selection of grilled chicken breast, pulled pork sandwich, cole slaw, baked beans, mac & cheese, corn pudding, banana pudding, and assorted cookies from the buffet.
