Bobby Berk Wants You To Mix And Match Your Dining Room Chairs
Cookie cutter style is a thing of the past and when it comes to decorating your dining room, it's no different. For interior designer and Queer Eye star Bobby Berk, that means spicing things up a bit.
Sure, that matching table and chairs set you've had for years is comfortable, but taking more risks in 2019 is a resolution we can all get behind, particularly when it comes to our homes. In a recent post, Bobby suggests a simple risk that can make all the difference-specifically in a dining room-mix and match.
In order to make the look effortless, Bobby shares two main tips:
1) Keep the design of the chairs similar.
By keeping the chairs' designs similar, you give yourself room to play with color and texture, so the seating arrangement remains fresh, but nothing is out of place.
2) Switch up the two end chairs.
For a rectangular table, start by focusing on the end chairs, so they can bring the whole table together. If you're feeling brave after, try mixing and matching the other chairs as well.
Now that you've played musical chairs, here are some other ways to take your dining room to the next level. Because investing in new pieces is always a blast.
