Dubbed the “Bootleg Volume VI,” the new bottling is the latest release in Heaven’s Door’s limited series of aged wheated bourbons finished in Limousin cigar barrels. First unveiled earlier this year, Dylan’s Bootleg Volume VI whiskey is now available to buy online.

Heaven’s Door The Bootleg Series VI Cigar Barrel Finish Bourbon Whiskey
$704.99
The new liquid features notes of spice, dried fruit and toasted oak thanks to the cigar barrel finishing. Heaven’s Door Master Blender Alex Moore explains that the elongated, cigar-style shape of the Limousin French barrels, “provides more whiskey to wood-to-surface contact, which yields more pronounced flavor notes.”
The Bootleg Volume VI whiskey is presented in a beautiful bottle that takes its art from Dylan’s original painting, Favela Villa Candido, which was inspired by the singer’s visit to Brazil’s favelas and meant to evoke the style of Cézanne— said to be one of Dylan’s favorite Impressionists.
Fewer than 5,000 bottles of Bootleg VI were made available, and it’s already selling out quickly, making this a true collectible release. We’ve spotted it available at Caskers and Total Wine (as of this writing).
Missed out on getting your hands on the Bootleg 6 release? You can still find Dylan’s 18-year-old straight bourbon whiskey dubbed the “Bootleg Series Volume V” online. First unveiled in 2023, the bourbon is finished in Spanish vermouth rouge casks for a rich and complex aroma that features notes of dark fruit, caramel and spice, with subtle vanilla undertones. The ceramic bottle, meantime, features one of Dylan’s original paintings (itself inspired by his road trips across America) and everything is presented in a bespoke leather journal.

Heaven's Door 'The Bootleg Series' Volume V Bourbon Whiskey
$580.99
This is the fifth release in Heaven’s Door’s “Bootleg” series, and features a 114-proof bourbon aged for 18 years and then finished in Spanish vermouth rouge casks. The accompanying bottle features a Dylan art piece dubbed “No Vacancies,” which was inspired by the singer’s travels across the U.S. The bottle also comes with an exclusive leather-bound journal.
