Blue Beetle Just Dropped its First 10 Mins Free
Blue Beetle is currently available to rent and buy on digital, and is soon releasing across Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K UHD. But if you wanted to avoid spending money on DC’s latest superhero extravaganza, you can watch 1/27th of the entire film right now for free.
The first ten minutes are now up on Warner Bros’ official YouTube channel (or you can just watch it below), and they include a number of sequences.
See an opening scene detailing the history of the Blue Beetle, Susan Sarandon’s Victoria Kord in action retrieving the Scarab, and the introduction of Blue Beetle himself, Jaime Reyes (Xolo Maridue?a).
If you enjoyed the video (and DC is hoping you do), there’s plenty more Blue Beetle to come. That’s because recently, DC co-CEO James Gunn cleared up the DC timeline, stating that the superhero will be an integral part of the studio’s plans going forward.
Speaking on Instagram's Threads, he said: “Xolo Maridue?a will continue playing Blue Beetle in the DCU, as Viola Davis will Amanda Waller, and John Cena will Peacemaker.”
Expect a few years before Blue Beetle 2, however. First comes DC’s Creature Commandos in 2024, then Superman Legacy in 2025.
