Bird's Sweet Reaction to Rescuer Singing to Him Gives Us All the Feels

All animals want is to be safe and loved.

Emmanuel Todd Lopez the emu first took the Internet by storm for his silly, video-interrupting antics on Knuckle Bump Farms. As you can imagine, he's gained a lot of new fans since then! Unfortunately, Emmanuel and most of his avian friends became ill a while back; and while the farm suffered unimaginable loss, the strong emu is making a miraculous recovery.

Throughout his illness and healing, Emmanuel and his rescuer, Taylor, have been cuddling up while she sings 'You are my Sunshine' to soothe him. His precious reaction to the song will absolutely melt your heart!

Emmanuel is such a sweet guy! We can tell how safe he feels with Taylor by the way he cuddles in and relaxes completely. Though, honestly, it would be difficult not to feel close to someone who's been by your side, day and night, through the toughest times. Taylor deserves every single one of those cuddles!

"The whole world was praying for beautiful Emmanuel," wrote commenter @carol_22.4ever. It's true! This viral bird has fans from around the globe, though we're sure no one is as relieved to see his recovery as Taylor is. Though if you ask us, Emmanuel seems so grateful for his healing, too.

@Katieeerae10 said, "no one can ever tell me animals don't have feelings," and we completely agree. Just look at the way he relaxes at the sound of her voice! These two seem like a match made in heaven, and we are so glad that Emmanuel is alright.
