BH RS1 Road Bike Gets More Aero Optimized
While their Ultralight and Aerolight are aimed at racers, the BH RS1 takes what they’ve learned there and applies it to a bike for the rest of us.
That means aerodynamics, but also comfort. Speed, but also stability. And now, it gets a more integrated design to keep up with trends.
BH RS1 frame and cockpit
The bike uses their “Performance Carbon Layup”, which is reasonably light but emphasizes comfort over ultimate stiffness and gram shaving. It’s made with their same Hollow Core construction for perfectly smooth inner and outer tube walls, just with a different level of carbon fiber.
The FSA ACR headset system hides all brake hoses and any wiring, etc., internally from the controls through the frame. Geometry is aimed at endurance riders, with a taller front end for a more comfortable, upright riding position.
The aero seatpost gets a hidden wedge binder that looks sleek and puts less pressure on the post itself.
The tubes get updated Kamm Tail shapes, and the fork is revised to fit up to 700x32mm tires while maintaining its signature look at the crown.
Other nifty features
The magnetic Planck rear light slots directly into the aero seatpost.
Quick release thru axles get their Hidden Quick Lever for stealthy, tool-free wheel removal.
An 86mm wide BB368EVO bottom bracket gives it a stiff, wide frame for maximum power transmission.
Complete bikes come in four build options starting at €3,999.
