Hathaway has set our expectations too high with her fashion pedigree, so this look falls a bit flat. This cream fringe gown is on trend but washes her out and isn’t memorable. 

Amal Clooney: A

Clooney has Benjamin Button’s phone number on speed dial, clearly. She’s gorgeous and glowing in this bronze metallic gradation delight, which feels youthful and chic. 

Gwendoline Christie: B+

Christie’s character choices and unique personality have put her in a league of her own when it comes to fashion. She’s able to succeed where others would fail — case in point, this Disney evil queen black satin adventure. It only makes us love her more. 

Rita Ora: A-

Commitment should be rewarded. An open-back black dress is nothing special, but when you add a prosthetic metal spine, suddenly we’re very interested. It’s reminiscent of Alexander McQueen’s golden era and is a fashion moment for whomever dares to try. 

Kit Connor: B+

Little by little Connor is becoming a fashion person. The gold satin trenchcoat with black flower boutonniere is the ideal glam touch for the otherwise simple black tank and matching palazzo pants. Not everybody could make this work, so kudos to him.

Sam Smith: B+

This is giving us fashion pirate off duty. This miniskirt power suit is extremely flattering, especially when paired with the sky-high black platform boots. He doesn’t care what anyone thinks, and that is fabulous. 

Damon Idris: B+

Utility chic as a twist on new eveningwear? Yes please, we are in. The furry and nylon mixed media jacket exudes practical glam. Goodness knows those awards are long — this look is great for sneaking in some snacks.
