Beloved amusement park Playland reopens: ‘dynamic generational park’

NEW YORK (PIX11) — A beloved amusement park is now open.

Playland in Rye, New York, opened today.

CEO Playland Evonne Keeler said, “Playland is that dynamic generational park, so anyone from the little kids up to the grandparents, there’s really something for everyone, and it carries with it so many decades of memories.”

Playland was filled with people enjoying the amusement park on Saturday.

Laila Petten said, “It’s fun! All the rides are amazing.”

Paulabeth and her granddaughter Laila come every year.

“I love it, and we get season passes every year, and it’s just grandma Aliya time, and we can’t wait for the park to open every year.”

If you can’t make it to Playland this weekend, don’t worry. It is now open every weekend in May and June and seven days a week in July and August.
