'The Batman 2' Script Is Reportedly in the Works With Matt Reeves
Just earlier this week it was reported that The Batman 2 has not yet been confirmed. However, in a recent interview with Deadline, Matt Reeves revealed that a sequel is on the way.
The publication has reported that Reeves has signed a multi-year first-look film deal with Warner Bros. Pictures. Under the new deal, it has been revealed that Reeves has begun writing the second installment of the Robert Pattinson-led Batman film. Pattinson is slated to return as the titular character. Reeves will also be penning the script with Mattson Tomlin, who was an uncredited writer on the first film.
Reeves discussed his new deal with Deadline stating, "Making this legendary studio my home is a dream. I am so excited to be working with Mike, Pam, and Channing and our teams to bring captivating stories I am truly passionate about to the big and small screen." Reeves is also working on The Batman spinoff series titled The Penguin with Colin Farrell.
In other entertainment news, Disney+ has released an official trailer for the new documentary Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi's Return.
