‘Bachelorette’ Star Desiree Hartsock Just Gave Birth to Baby #2 — Find Out His Name!
More happy news from Bachelor Nation! Bachelorette star Desiree Hartsock and her husband, Chris Siegfried, who snagged the final rose on the show’s ninth season back in 2013, welcomed their second child on Saturday, January 12 — the same day Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham tied the knot!
The couple, who have a two-year-old son named Asher, broke the news that they were expecting baby number two last July. Now, their second bundle of joy has arrived, and his name is seriously cute.
Taking to Instagram to share a sweet snap of the family’s latest addition, his hands reaching up to the tiny hat on his head, Hartsock announced, “We welcomed into the world our baby boy, Zander Cruz Siegfried, yesterday morning 1/12 at 8:30 am. He is every bit as sweet and snuggly as he looks. :) Can’t wait to share more but for now baby and I are getting much needed rest as we spend time with family and are both doing great!”
Speaking with Us Weekly shortly before she was due, Hartsock shared how much easier things were the second time around. “Everything is just way more casual now, everything,” she told the mag. “So, like, you know, we’re not worried about this silly stuff or the little stuff or, like, we barely just got all of the baby room ready and it’s funny. We don’t have to stress about the little stuff.”
As for how she prepared Asher for his little brother’s arrival, she added, “We’ll say, ‘Where’s the baby?’ And [Asher will] point to my stomach, but I still don’t think he understands, but he’s doing it. I think we’re both very excited to be able to see Asher and the new baby, like, be brothers and have that bond.”
