Netflix has confirmed it will reveal a first look at Avatar: The Last Airbender tomorrow, Thursday November 8.
The reveal is part of Geeked Week, Netflix’s week focused on genre titles across movies, TV, and games.
Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender is due for release in 2024, and will be a live-action show based on the first series of the animated series, a story about people who can manipulate the four classic elements of fire, water, air and earth.

Avatar: The Last Airbender was originally announced in 2018 by Netflix, and stars Gordon Cormier as Avatar Aang, Kiawentiio as Katara, and Daniel Dae Kim as Fire Lord Ozai. There has been some creative differences that led to the original showrunners leaving the production in 2020, although they still have credits on some of the episodes.
The first series will feature eight episodes and it was reported that each one had a budget of around $15 million.
So far Netflix’s Geeked Week has included a first look at Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown’s Damsel, with a trailer due on November 11, and artwork for the Michelle Yeoh-starring The Brothers Sun.
