Australian Teen Has Terrifying Moment Midair
Perhaps the scariest feeling on a bike is uncontrollably leaning forward in the air off a jump.
One rider discovered the consequence of getting bucked in a bad crash. Watch the crash that led to Alex De Ionno’s broken collarbone below.
In this video, Alex aces the first couple of jumps in the line. Unfortunately, he took off weirdly and was bucked forward. This caused him to crash over the bars into the ground.
Alex required 6 stitches and suffered a broken collarbone in the crash. We hope he heals up quickly.
Collarbones are one of the most common riding injuries. It takes a surprisingly low amount of force at the wrong angle for a clavicle to break. Because riders often fall hard onto the ground shoulder first, collarbones are frequent casualties.
