I Tried The McDonald's Cardi B & Offset Meal, And It Reminded Me That I Like Being Single

Hi everyone! If you're new here, I'm Jen, and every week, I try viral food.
Keep up with my food Instagram and TikTok, if you'd like.
This week, I finally decided to give the McDonald's Cardi B & Offset Meal Bundle a try, since I've seen so many mixed reviews about it online.
I'll preface this with the fact that I wasn't too impressed with the McDonald's Adult Happy Meal so I didn't really consider trying its newest menu item until I saw a bunch of tweets about it.
The chain released the Meal on Valentine's Day and it features favorite menu items from the two celebs.

The whole idea is that it's meant to be shared with your boo, which is actually kind of adorable.
With a purchase of the meal, you'll receive Cardi B's go-to menu items, which include a classic McDonald’s Cheeseburger, BBQ sauce, and a Large Coca-Cola. You'll also receive Offset's favorites, which are the Quarter Pounder with Cheese and a Large Hi-C Orange Lavaburst. And don't worry, the meal is complete with a large order of fries and an Apple Pie.
Also, the packaging is really cute.
Although I wasn't planning on sharing with anyone, I went ahead and ordered some McDelivery anyway. Here's what I thought:

It seems like the prices vary by location but in New York City, it came out to just under $20 before tax, which is pretty pricey for McDonald's. But if you're sharing with someone, that's $10-ish per person, which is better.

I laid out all the contents of the bag and there was definitely a lot of food. I was a little overwhelmed by all the options so I decided to eat the burgers first.

The last time I had McDonald's was for the Adult Happy Meal and taking the first bite of the Cheeseburger, I was reminded of that familiar McDonald's taste. The items don't taste any different from their individually sold counterparts, so TBH, the individual Quarter Pounder and Cheeseburgers were kind of dry and sad-looking, as I was kind of expecting.
But since it was just me, I combined the patties of the Cheeseburger and Quarter Pounder to make a double cheeseburger. I also remembered that Cardi B said, “I want all my fans to try it — especially with that BBQ sauce,” so I gave that a go. And she's on to something because I actually thought it tasted a lot better this way.

As I ate some of the burger, I had some fries and switched between the two drinks. The saltiness of the burger definitely matches well with both the Coke and Hi-C Orange.

Honestly, by the time I ate the burger and some fries, I was pretty full. I could definitely see why you're supposed to share this with someone. I still had so many fries left, as well as a ton of the Coke and the Hi-C. I decided I would save the Apple Pie for later that night and I ended up warming it up and eating it with some vanilla ice cream. That was a good call on my part.

I'm not going to tell you that this is the best fast food I've ever had because it wasn't. But IDK, I liked this meal for what it was.
I liked having the two drinks and having the apple pie as a little treat for later. It's a great excuse to get a bunch of food for yourself. That being said, maybe this entire meal would have sucked if I had to share the burger and fries or maybe having some company would have made the food taste a little better. I wouldn't know but I liked the Cardi B & Offset Meal as a solo dining experience.
You probably won't like this if you don't like McDonald's Cheeseburgers to begin with. But if you do, then I'd say you should definitely order it.
Or don't. I'm not getting paid enough to care. ????
