The Assassin's Creed Origins season pass includes two DLC packs, one of which is all about undead Pharaohs
The DLC included with Assassin's Creed Origins' season pass has now been detailed, and we've now got an idea of what the game's post-release schedule is looking like with a brand new trailer. Both those with a season pass and those without will be getting free content post-launch, with two DLC packs for the game coming early next year.
Those DLC packs are The Hidden Ones and The Curse of the Pharaohs. In the former, Bayek, the protagonist, will travel to the Sinai Peninsula years after the events of Assassin's Creed Origins' main story, continuing the growth of the Brotherhood of Assassins while fighting an occupying Roman force. The level cap will also be increased in this expansion although the extend of its extension hasn't been confirmed. The Hidden Ones will be coming out in January 2018.
The Curse of the Pharaohs, on the other hand, is much more of a fantasy. In this DLC, the Pharaohs are coming back to life, and Bayek must fight creatures from Egyptian mythology and explore a "mystical realm" while investigating why the Pharaohs are coming back to life. This DLC is coming out later, in March 2018.
Alongside these, those with the season pass will get the Roman Centurion and Horus packs, with special outfits, shields, weapons and mounts, coming in November 2017. At launch, you'll also get 500 Helix credits, an in-game currency, and a legendary weapon, the Calamity Blade.
The Trial of the Gods and the Nomad's Bazaar are two events that will be available to all players, regardless of whether they own the season pass. The Trial of the Gods pits Bayek against Egyptian Gods because of a "glitch in the Animus", and these events will roll around regular, but are time-limited. The first Trial will be available 15 days after Assassin's Creed Origins comes out. The Nomad's Bazaar is much more simple: it's a daily quest that offers "mysterious rewards," typically rare equipment, it seems. This is available at launch.
Assassin's Creed Origins Where to buy
All of that, plus some shots of the game's free photo mode and upcoming horde mode, are in the trailer. This all comes on top of the base game, which comes out on October 27. We're looking forward to it, but it's a very different to Assassin's Creed to the ones that have come before.
