New artwork brightens up Beckley
BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) — The wall on the Beckley Intermodal Gateway has some new artwork.
Senior Focus Group hosts Golden Games to increase physical activity among seniors
More than a dozen photos are now displayed on the wall outside the Greyhound station and parking garage.
The artists behind the photos are seniors from the Raleigh County area. Saja Montague applied for a grant to teach these seniors a new skill.

“So, it was a lot of fun. I got inspired for the mural just from the images that people did. They have such creative and interesting eyes, and they got such cool photos,” said Montague. “And I just wanted the community at large to see them.”
The nine-week Creative Aging for Lifelong Learning course focused on film photography. All photos in the mural were taken by Raleigh County residents aged 55 and up. The mural is a transient piece that Montague says will last for around six months.
