This Arkansas city is one of the friendliest in the South, Southern Living says
BENTONVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Southern hospitality is a real thing and Southern Living said one city Arkansas is one of the best at it, according to a new report.
Bentonville was named among the 15 friendliest cities in the South, according to Southern Living.
The publication said the list was determined through an online survey done by third-party agency Proof Insights asking Southern Living readers to give them the friendliest places in the region with at least 40,000 residents.
The survey was completed between July and August 2023 and had more than 20,000 respondents.

Here’s how Southern Living describes Bentonville:
“The birthplace of Walmart, Bentonville builds its legacy around more than just the retail giant. Now known for its impressive art scene thanks to Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art and The Momentary, as well as excellent outdoor activities. With a population around 60,000, readers commented on the city’s small-town and community-focused feel.”
Bentonville was ranked 14th, just ahead of Cary, North Carolina.
