Ariana Grande Told Jimmy Fallon She Knew She'd Get Engaged to Pete Davidson Three Years Ago
Ariana Grande's new album, Sweetener dropped on August 17, and the pop star opened up about the first time she met Pete Davison-who inspired a song of the same name on the new album-while visiting The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to promote her new tracks.
The audience got a sneak preview of the album, hearing snippets from "R.E.M," "Breathin,'" and "Pete Davidson." And, of course, when Pete Davison's song came up, Fallon had a few questions for the pop star about her speedy engagement.
When asked how she and Davidson met, Ariana Grande explains that she and her now-fiancée met in the writer's room at SNL some three years ago, and that Ariana had a huge crush on the SNL star.
"I'm not a crushy person, I don't have crushes on people," Ariana Grande tells Jimmy Fallon in the clip. "But I left [the writer's room] and jokingly said to my tour manager 'I'm marrying him, 100 percent.' I was like, 'I'm literally marrying him.'"
