Ariana Grande Defends Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin's Whirlwind Engagement
Like laughter and chicken pocks, young love is contagious. Not even a full month after news broke of the surprise engagement between Ariana Grande and very new boyfriend Pete Davidson, another young celebrity romance has jumped straight past 'hanging out' to 'putting a ring on it.' That's right, Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin are reportedly engaged.
While Bieber's ex Selena Gomez seems unfazed by the news, it's actually peak romantic Ariana Grande herself who's fielding fan questions and reactions. Grande was quick to shut down the Internet rumor that it was her and Bieber's shared manager, Scooter Braun, who had concocted both pair's forthcoming nuptials. (Grande's new album, Sweetener, is out in August.)

She bit back in a since deleted tweet:
"..... you do realize we are human beings who love and have lives......right......? And that Scooter is a wonderful human being too who cares first [and] foremost [about] our health and happiness? Love is lit. Shit happens. I hope to god it happens to you too. [You] deserve it."
But that's not all. The No Tears Left to Cry singer responded to yet another fan who pointed out that the Scooter Braun conspiracy theory was likely a joke:
okay okay 🙈 be nice to that man. he’s wonderful. and very human. always puts his artists’ health and happiness first.

The moral of this story: Scooter Braun is a very nice man and had nothing to do with either Ariana Grande or Justin Bieber's sudden engagements, OK?!
