If You're Trying To Eat Healthy, You Need To Try Green Giant's New Protein Bowls
The frozen food section doesn't have the best reputation. It's all too easy to pick up a take-and-bake pizza or lasagna and find yourself with a 1,000-calorie meal on your hands. Even the 'healthy' section can be questionable. In the past year or so, though, there's been an influx of healthy foods that've made their way to the frozen aisle (and made our lives so much easier): cauliflower crust, cauli gnocchi, veggie noodles, even frozen avocado.
Starting in November, Green Giant is adding another option to the mix, and it's an ideal lunch for days when you don't feel like cooking. The new Harvest Protein Bowls come in four varieties, and have between 12 and 14 grams of plant-based protein per bowl (they're all vegetarian, too!). Here are the flavors you'll soon be able to add to your lunch rotation:
Asian Style - Grains, edamame, red peppers, carrots, baby corn, snap peas, and teriyaki sauce
Southwest Style - Grains, beans, corn, peppers, tomatoes, onions, and garlic with lime juice and cumin
Italian Style - Wheat berries, lentils, tomatoes, broccoli, eggplant, peppers, parmesan and herb sauce
California Style - Quinoa, lentils, edamame, corn, grilled peppers, peas, and kale, seasoned with lemon and herb sauce
The bowls are rolling out to grocery stores nationwide next month, and will retail for $3.99 a pop-a steal, considering most trendy grain bowls cost $10 or more when you're eating out.
Find 'em in the frozen aisle, alongside Green Giant's extensive collection of healthier comfort foods-they've got veggie tots, riced cauliflower stuffing (perfect for a keto Thanksgiving!), riced veggies, mashed cauliflower, and more.
