Anna 'Chickadee' Cardwell's Husband Remembers Her Final Moments

Anna "Chickadee" Cardwell's husband, Eldridge Toney, is giving insight into the last moments he shared with her before her passing.
The Here Comes Honey Boo Boo alum was diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal carcinoma in January, ultimately succumbing to the disease on Saturday, Dec. 9, at the age of 29.
Toney told People the former reality star's family gathered in support and to say their reluctant earthly goodbyes in the days before her death.
“Everyone was crying and freaking out, because we all knew what was happening,” he recalled to the publication. “I did my best to be calm for her. I rubbed my hands through her hair, held her hand and told her it was going to be OK.”
In a heartbreaking note, he added that he "was holding her hand when she took her final breath."

The couple wed in March, just months after learning of Anna's her medical condition. Toney also shared that he promised his wife to keep her memory alive for her daughters: Kaitlyn Elizabeth, whom she welcomed in 2012, and Kylee Madison, who was born three years later.
“The day before she passed, we had our talk and said our goodbyes,” he told People. “Her dying wish was for her girls to grow up knowing who their mother was. And I promised I would do right by the girls always. I will spend my life doing right by Anna and the girls.”
On Sunday, Dec. 10, Mama June Shannon confirmed Cardwell's passing.
"With the breaking heart, we are announcing that @annamarie35 is no longer with us," the reality TV personality captioned a family photo on Instagram. "She passed away in my home last night peacefully at 11:12 PM."
Anna's sister, Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson, also shared a heartbreaking video tribute to their deceased loved one on Monday, Dec. 11, via TikTok.
