Animated Michael Jackson Heads to TV for Halloween
While some people are already gearing up for Halloween with their fiftieth rewatch of Hocus Pocus, CBS is betting that other folks are chafing at the bit for... an animated Halloween special featuring #millennials and, uh, Michael Jackson.

Yes, Michael Jackson's Halloween exists, and besides featuring some graphics behind the times, promises a coming-of-age tale with an all-star voice cast and a finale featuring, well, Michael Jackson:
"Michael Jackson's Halloween features the voices of actors Christine Baranski, Kiersey Clemons, Alan Cumming, George Eads, Brad Garrett, Lucy Liu, Jim Parsons and Lucas Till.
The special follows millennials Vincent (Till) and Victoria (Clemons), who meet “accidentally” on Halloween night and find themselves, along with Ichabod the dog, at a mysterious hotel located at 777 Jackson Street called This Place Hotel. Once inside, Vincent and Victoria are sent on an unexpected, magical adventure of personal discovery, culminating in a spectacular dance finale featuring an animated Michael Jackson."
As SlashFilm points out, MJ's focus in a Halloween episode isn't totally out of nowhere. Of course, there's the iconic music video for "Thriller":
But the King of Pop also starred in the short film Michael Jackson's Ghosts, which was co-written by none other than Stephen King:
