Amy Roloff Just Got Real About What Went Down Between Matt and Caryn Before Her Divorce
In a resurfaced clip, Amy Roloff of Little People, Big World says she believes her ex-husband Matt and his girlfriend Caryn Chandler were "involved" before their divorce.
Amy believes Caryn was one of the reasons behind her and Matt's split. Matt, however, has pinned their divorce on other factors.
Both Amy and Matt Roloff have moved on to new relationships.
Was Little People, Big World star Matt Roloff unfaithful to Amy with former longtime farm employee Caryn Chandler?
That's the big question fans have been asking ever since Amy and Matt announced their separation back in 2014 (the couple filed for divorce in 2015). Amy has never publicly accused Matt of cheating on her, but in March she alluded to an alleged "involvement" between her ex-husband and Caryn while promoting her new book, A Little Me, in a Facebook Live. Now that her book is about to be officially released on June 4, the clip is making the rounds again on social media.
“I think when you start looking before you’re separated in marriage, that is hard,” Amy said around the 9:30 mark, while seated next to her pal, Lisa Dixon. “When you become involved or much more than just a friend, but you become more in a relationship than just say ‘Hey, hi friend, lets go out for coffees’ type of thing, I think that can be hard on the other person as well."
In the video, Amy got even more specific, bringing up Matt's relationship with Caryn, who stopped working at Roloff Farms last spring. (She and Matt confirmed their relationship back in March 2017.) “We had someone that worked for us for a very long time, on our farm,” Amy continued, referring to Caryn. “And I believe - this is all from my perspective - that there was more than just friends going on. And I think that evolved to a point where that got in the way of our marriage as well.”
But, Amy also conceded that if they were involved at the time, Matt and Caryn's relationship wasn't the only factor in their divorce. During the Facebook Live, Amy said that over the years, she and Matt lost their ability to connect.

"It wasn't new to me," Amy said about their decision to split up. "There were things definitely leading up to this moment."
Matt, however, sees things a bit differently. While he has admitted in the past that he and Amy had various issues in their relationship, the Roloff patriarch ultimately pinned their breakup on his ex-wife's indecisiveness.
"Amy is a different person, who processes information differently, so therein lies the challenge," Matt said during the season 19 premiere. "I'd say that's the reason why we're divorced in the first place."
Regardless of what led to their divorce, both Matt and Amy are much happier now. Like Matt, Amy has moved on, and has been dating her boyfriend, Chris Marek, since December 2017. Sounds like happily ever after to us!
