'American Idol' 2024: Who Made It Through to the Top 24
Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, Luke Bryan
Night two of American Idol’s Hollywood Week for Season 7 on ABC took place on Tuesday night when the remaining Golden Ticket holders performed their Showstoppers for judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan’s Final Judgment.
Then, at the end of the night the Top 24 was revealed, which not surprising, included all three Platinum Ticket holders: Abi Carter, Julia Gagnon and Odell Bunton Jr.
An interesting note on tonight’s “Showstoppers” was the fact that there were two sing-offs. Kaibrienne "KB" Richins and Alyssa Raghu battled for one of the 12 women's spots. They chose "Shallow" for their duet. Kaibrienne sang her way into the Top 24 and Alyssa, who has appeared on American Idol several times before, came to the end of her journey.
The second sing-off was between two international contestants: Aussie Mackenzie Sol and Ziggy from the Netherlands. The two men sang "Jealous" by Labrinth for their battle with Mackenzie getting the final nod from the judges.
Next week, the Top 24 will perform from Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa in Hawaii, where Tori Kelly and Jelly Roll will mentor the Idol hopefuls, who will face America’s first vote of the season.
