Amal Clooney Goes Working Girl Chic in Polka Dots for Meetings at The U.N.
What’s black and white and red all over? The red-hot Amal Clooney in her polka-dot skirt and blazer. (I worked on that punchline for a long time, please humor me.)
Clooney took a style cue from Katie Holmes on Wednesday in N.Y.C. when she opted for a retro two-piece for her meetings at the U.N. Perhaps the mother of two was attempting to communicate something about the current state of our country (like, we’re stuck in the past ... )?
Anyway, whatever Amal’s aim, we like her style. There are few people who can wear polka dots without looking like a tablecloth at a children’s birthday party, and I suppose we shouldn’t be surprised that Mrs. Clooney is one of them. Not only does she look chic in this ‘80s-tinged two-piece, but she looks sophisticated and worldly — the kind of woman you’d want to see taking meetings at The U.N.
The international human rights lawyer paired her patterned garments with a large black leather tote, matching pumps, and a mane of immaculately wind-swept hair, the likes of which us mere mortals could only dream of.
