Alfonso Ribeiro's Wife Gives Positive Recovery Update for Daughter
Alfonso Ribeiro's wife, Angela, shared some good news following their 4-year-old's scooter accident.
A little over a week ago, the Dancing With the Stars host's daughter fell off her sit-down scooter, causing the family to rush to the ER the day before the toddler's birthday so Ava could receive medical treatment.
But now, Angela told fans that her daughter is "doing better and better each day."
During a Q&A on her Instagram Story, which has since been deleted, the doting mom revealed that Ava "has certainly been [a] trooper this past week." The post also included a detailed photo of the young girl's injuries.
The new update came just shy of two weeks after Ava's accident, which occurred on May 12. Angela previously took to Instagram to alert fans of the incident, stating that she had a "motherly instinct" that morning when she warned everyone at her house to not partake in anything dangerous that day.
"Sadly, my words were soon forgotten and long story short, this poor girl crashed off a sit-down scooter...the day before her bday. A big thank you to Dr. Raffy at @kareskinmd for seeing us after hours and performing a procedure to hopefully eventually have little scaring on her face and arms. Not a fun way to spend your last day as a 3-year-old, but she was a trooper. Giving this sweet girl some extra cuddles tonight.??," Angela wrote in the caption.

Alfonso also spoke about the unfortunate incident during an interview with Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos on Live With Kelly and Mark.
"On Thursday, unfortunately, my daughter got injured and had to have emergency surgery," the actor told the hosts. "So it was a very stressful weekend. She fell and had basically road rash on her face and arm, and so they had to scalpel off all the skin."
Fortunately, she is now on the road to recovery.
Ava is the youngest of Ribeiro's three children and the second child he welcomed with wife Angela, previously announcing the birth of son Anders Reyn in 2015. Ribeiro also shares an adult daughter named Sienna, now 20, with his ex-wife and former actress Robin Stapler.
