  • Al Roker posts a lot of cooking content on his personal Instagram.

  • On Monday, October 25, he announced that he’s launching a cooking podcast with Today.

One scroll through Al Roker’s Instagram, and it’s clear that he has a passion for cooking. So it’s only fitting then that his newest Today show venture focuses just on that.

On Monday, NBC News announced the upcoming debut of Cooking Up a Storm with Al Roker, an all-new Apple podcast led by Al and the Today team.

The six-episode podcast will launch on Monday, November 1 and is designed to inspire listeners to cook the ultimate Thanksgiving meal. The premise is that each episode will focus on a beloved dish by a world-renowned chef. But Al won’t just be recreating a recipe from their book, he’ll actually have the chefs as guests on the show and will be delving into not only the recipes but the stories around them, too.

And let’s be clear: Every single episode topic sounds absolutely delicious. The podcast kicks off with parmesan smashed potatoes by Ina Garten, followed by low country oyster cornbread dressing with crispy slab bacon by Alexander Smalls, crisp and juicy herb roasted turkey by Sohla El-Waylly, caramelized Brussels sprouts by Marcus Samuelsson, cranberry Wojapi sauce by Sean Sherman, and sweet potato plantain pie by Maya-Camille Broussard. Talk about a lineup!

Needless to say, fans can’t contain their excitement surrounding the news.

“I'd expect nothing less than a fabulous and punny podcast title from you, Mr. Al Roker,” one fan exclaimed in the comments section of Al’s announcement post. "I can’t wait to listen!!!! Next, we need a cookbook,” another fan wrote in part. “Awesome! I'll be following. Love looking at your cooking inspiration,” someone else commented.

Each episode of Cooking Up a Storm with Al Roker will debut ahead of November 25th so that listeners can put the recipes to the test at their own dinner tables. That said, make sure to set reminders to listen so that you don’t miss out.
