Abigail Spencer Thinks Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Baby Will Be "Lucky" to Have Them as Parents
When Meghan Markle made her way to New York City in February, her friend Abigail Spencer was right by her side. As Meghan's former Suits costar, Spencer has been close with the Duchess for a long time, and is extremely excited to see her entering a new phase in life.
When E! News asked Spencer about Meghan's nearing due date, she couldn't help but gush about her friend. "I think it goes without saying, she's incredible," Spencer said. "She's incredible and that baby is so lucky to have them as their parents."
Spencer was able to help Meghan prepare for her baby's arrival during her recent stateside visit. She was there for the Duchess's lavish baby shower, which reportedly took place in the Mark Hotel's penthouse suite, and featured both a flower-arranging class and a "desert-tasting experience," overseen by Jean-Georges Vongerichten, the celebrated head chef of the Mark Hotel's in-house restaurant, per Vanity Fair.
She also got to hang out with Meghan around the city, paying a visit to nearby museum the Met Breuer, and eating at the famed Café Boulud inside the Surrey Hotel.
Spencer has spoken a lot about how close she and Meghan are. "We were born on the same day, hours apart, in the same year," Spencer told ET. "[Meghan is] a trusted friend and one of the most glorious people I have ever met."
It was friend-love at first sight. "I saw her and was like, 'Who is this gorgeous girl?'" she said of meeting Meghan, at an audition years before they costarred on Suits. "She was just so stunning and there was just something about her, and that's how we met."
