Black Panther star Angela Bassett was recently burning up the red carpet in a truly stunning dress just a few weeks ago — and we still haven't recovered.
The 9-1-1 actress hosted The Elizabeth Taylor Ball To End AIDS with husband Courtney B. Vance at The Beverly Hills Hotel back on September 21 in a shimmering bluish gray one-shouldered Dolce & Gabanna Grecian-style gown with a long pleated skirt. She accessorized with black peep-toe pumps and a silver metallic rectangular clutch. With Bulgari backing the charity event, it's not surprising to see Angela add a simple diamond necklace and dangling earrings with blue accents for jewelry. She left her hair down, showing off her new blunt bangs, and opted for bronze eyeshadow, heavy black eyeliner, a rosy pink glow on her cheeks and a burgundy lip. Courtney looked dapper as well, in a classic black suit and matching hat.
Although fans would agree the What's Love Got to Do with It alum always hits the mark when it comes to impeccable style, this silver ensemble got a lot of attention on social media.
"Such a timeless beauty ????," someone commented on an Instagram someone shared of her. "Absolutely gorgeous always classy and elegant??????????????," a fan chimed in. "Babyyyyyy ????????????," a different person wrote. Another person said, "She looks amazing."
Fans of the 65-year-old have had to rely on her red-carpet outfits and other brand events to get a peak of the New York native since the SAG strike kept her from returning to the TV screens for season 7 of the hit show 911. The procedural drama, which will be moving from Fox to ABC for the upcoming season, will hopefully start filming after it was announced this week that a deal was reached between SAG-AFTRA and Hollywood Studios — and fans couldn't be happier about it.
Although we won't likely get to see the new season anytime before 2024, folks are excited to see what happens now that Maddie (Jennifer Love Hewitt) and Chimney (Kenneth Choi) are engaged, Buck (Oliver Stark)'s emergency delivery of his donor baby and his possible blossoming relationship with Natalia (Annelise Cepero) are front and center and Athena (Angela) and Bobby (Peter Krause)'s future are in question after another harrowing "will they, won't they" survival situation.
Fans of the actress can certainly rely on more iconic outfits to tide them over until she rejoins our screen as Sergeant Athena Grant-Nash, or in the meantime they can catch up on the previous six seasons on the ABC site or ABC app through your TV provider or stream through YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV or fuboTV.
