1. ‘Wild Wild Country’
If the Tiger King episode that touched on Bhagavan “Doc” Antle’s suspiciously cult-like big cat park, you’ll fly through this docuseries about Indian guru (and controversial cult leader) Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, who built a utopian city in Oregon in the ‘80s. The trouble was, local ranchers were decidedly not on board with his plan, which led to a conflict that involved the first bioterror attack in the United States and a massive case of illegal wiretapping.

2. ‘Voyeur’
For fans of Tiger King’s…quirky cast of characters, Voyeur introduces the world to Gerald Foos, a man who bought a Colorado motel for the sole purpose of spying on its guests. The filmmakers follow New Yorker journalist Gay Talese, who was working on a book about Foos during filming. Weird, right? Things get even stranger when it’s revealed that Foos watched a murder in his room and never reported it.
3. ‘McMillions’
Remember the McDonald’s Monopoly game? Yeah, a lot of that was a huge scam that occurred between 1989 and 2001, perpetrated by Jerry Jacobson, who was in charge of security for the agency that ran the promotion, and several accomplices. In six episodes, filmmakers track the $24 million fraud that corrupted the game, in which there were almost no legitimate million-dollar winners.

4. ‘Don’t F**k with Cats’
Cats and crime? A series after Tiger King’s own heart. This 2019 true-crime docuseries follows a group of virtual vigilantes who launched a manhunt for Luka Magnotta, a man who gained international notoriety in 2010 for sharing a graphic video online of himself killing two kittens (don’t worry, you don’t see it). Things take an even more disturbing turn when Magnotta turns his homicidal focus to humans.

5. ‘Making a Murderer’
Before Tiger King’s time, this was arguably Netflix’s biggest true-crime docuseries. Premiering in 2015, it told the story of Steven Avery, a Wisconsin man who served 18 years in prison for the wrongful conviction of sexual assault and attempted murder of Penny Beerntsen. He was later charged in 2005, and convicted in 2007, for the murder of Teresa Halbach. The connected story is that of Brendan Dassey, accused and convicted as an accessory in the murder. If you haven’t seen it yet, you’ve got two whole seasons to watch.

6. ‘Grey Gardens’
Before all of the documentaries on this list was this groundbreaking 1975 film by David and Albert Maysles about one of the most eccentric duos ever depicted on screen—real or fiction. Grey Gardens depicts the everyday lives of a mother and daughter both named Edith Beale, the aunt and the first cousin of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. Once upper-class women, the two became recluses who lived in poverty at Grey Gardens, a derelict mansion in East Hampton, New York.
