These $5 Drugstore Products Are the Secret to Catherine Zeta-Jones' Nude Lip

It’s easy to assume that an A-list celebrity has access to every high-end, luxe makeup and skin care product that seems far out of reach for the general population. So, it’s always a delightful surprise to learn when one of the biggest stars in the world uses something you can grab on your next drugstore run. Celebrity makeup artist Brett Freedman gave budget-friendly fans a treat by sharing the details of CZJ's smoky-eye look and revealing that the products he used to create her "honey dipped" nude lip costs less than $5.

While doing Zeta-Jones' glam for her appearance for at the Television Academy to talk about her new televised film Cocaine Godmother, Freedman documented the process and listed all of the products he used to create a “nude/dewy glam.” Most notable in the mix of prestige and affordable cosmetics is the $4 price tag on her nude liner—Rimmel London’s Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses Lip Liner in Tiramisu.

To perfect her lip look, Freedman grabbed another favorite budget brand’s concealer, the NYX Wonder Pencil ($5) in Medium. Using the concealer to draw around the outside of the mouth, Freedman says he added this step to “create a crisp pop of subtle definition.”

Topping it off with his own lip gloss, you'd never know this dewy look was the least bit frugal, after all Zeta-Jones walked the red carpet looking like a million bucks.
