Kroger Sunscreen Invisible Gel SPF 40

As you can see, this bottle of sunscreen proudly displays that it's comparable to the Supergoop SPF. It really does live up to those claims as it has the same finish and level of sun protection — but costs less than $12. One thing to be cautious of: It does contain some citric acid from orange peel oil which can be irritating for those with sensitive skin.

e.l.f. Suntouchable Invisible Sunscreen SPF 35

Another almost identical formula to Supergoop's is this option from e.l.f. that retails for $14. For added skin benefits, this sunscreen contains antioxidant-rich meadowfoam seed oil (just like Supergoop) and aloe that help shield skin from the sun to ward off a sunburn and UV damage. Best of all, it also doubles as a primer as it has a grip-like finish to help makeup stay in place all day.

This SPF is a bit pricier than the three previous options, ringing in at $25, but is still more affordable than Supergoop. Reviewers love its velvety finish and say it's especially great for anyone with oily skin because it's somewhat mattifying. And similar to the e.l.f. pick above, it also works wonders to keep makeup intact.

Bask Daily Invisible Gel SPF 40 Sunscreen

A new kid on the block is this formula from Bask that is ultra-hydrating and costs $10 less than Supergoop. It contains squalane that restores moisture to dry skin types and like a few of the other dupes, it also serves as a great makeup primer.
