These 4 Colorado eateries landed on Yelp's Top 100 list for 2024
If you're craving something new, and willing to journey beyond the bounds of Fort Collins, Yelp has you covered.
The online review site unveiled its 2024 ranking of the Top 100 U.S. restaurants. Colorado is home to four. While none are location in Northern Colorado, these top-ranked eateries may be worth the drive.
The descriptions below are according to information on the restaurants' websites and Yelp.
No. 41: Tandoori Kitchen (Lafayette)
Fans of Indian and Himalayan cuisine have been flocking to this unfussy Lafayette spot since 2018. Known for its traditional dishes, you can pick from its scratch-made samosas, made-to-order tandoori kebobs or sample a little bit of everything at its all-you-can-eat lunch buffet. Tandoori Kitchen is open daily from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 5-9:30 p.m.
No. 57: Leven Deli (Denver)
Part Jewish deli, part Mediterranean restaurant, Leven Deli boasts mile-high sandwiches stacked on house-made bread, its own wine bar and shop and a classic deli case packed with cold sides. Start your day there with a coffee and pastry or try some smaller bites (and sips) during it happy hour, which runs 4-7 p.m. every weekday. Leven Deli is open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
So long, Sundance: After 42 years, this Fort Collins fixture is closing its doors on Mulberry Street
No. 79: Denver Poke Company (Denver)
Growing up in New Orleans with a hotel chef mom and dad who ran crab and shrimp boats, Anh Nguyen was surrounded by food. Eventually, it would become his livelihood as he went from working as a sushi prep chef in college to a sushi sous chef and manager at Aspens' upscale Japanese eatery, Kenichi. Today, Nguyen owns Denver Poke Company — a shop all his own known for bringing in fresh, never frozen, sushi-grade fish daily. Denver Poke Company boasts a range of bowl options, from a classic Hawaiian style to sweet citrus salmon, spicy tuna, pineapple basil yellowtail and more, according to the restaurant's website. It is open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
No. 94: Guard and Grace (Denver)
This Michelin Guide–recommended modern steakhouse landed on 2024's best restaurants list thanks to its wood-fired dishes, various cuts of grass-fed, prime or wagyu steak, fresh seafood and more, according to Yelp. While this list is all about restaurants worth a drive, Guard and Grace is also the only selection with a Fort Collins connection. Guard and Grace chef and owner Troy Guard is also behind Los Chingones, a Denver-born Mexican restaurant and lounge that opened a Fort Collins location, 3541 E. Harmony Road, in 2021.
