‘Jersey Shore’ star shares 50-pound body change: ‘I struggled my whole life’

“Jersey Shore” star Vinny Guadagnino opened about his struggles with weight loss in a new Instagram post.
The 32-year-old, who now runs an account dedicated to his diet and cookbook, shared a pair of side-by-side photos showing fans how much he’s changed over the years.
“A lot of people didn’t know that I struggled with my weight my whole life. I was the king of yo-yo dieting,” Guadagnino wrote. “I was my biggest during the years I was off TV so a lot of people didn’t realize.”
Guadagnino went on to describe his numerous trials and errors in dieting, before telling his followers that he settled on a “low carb/moderate protein/high fat” diet, also known as a keto or ketogenic diet. The trendy eating plan has been studied at length, with some experts debating its long-term viability or usefulness for certain age groups.
But Guadagnino stressed while he believes the diet is “how our bodies were evolved to eat” he also noted that it’s simply the plan that works best for him.
“Everything just seems to regulate itself out when I cut processed sugars and grains and eat quality meats, fats, and greens for the most part,” he wrote.
Methods aside, the transformation seemed to shock many fans, who shared their support for Guadagnino.
“Sick transformation keep up the great work,” one Instagram user wrote.
“Amazing good for you! You have worked hard at it and it shows in your results and healthier being,” another added.
Guadagnino, who recently starred in the reboot series, “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation,” also appeared in the 2019 MTV dating show, “A Double Shot at Love,” alongside former “Jersey Shore” star DJ Pauly D.
