Snooki Is Almost Unrecognizable After Inspiring Fitness Transformation
Let’s face it, the eternal struggle that is motivating yourself to exercise is a tale as old as time. Somehow, though, a few celebrities seem to have squashed the urge to skip the gym in favor of the couch, and it’s sure as hell paid off.
Whether it’s to prepare for physically challenging roles or because they chose to focus more on their health, these celebs prioritized fitness and completely transformed their bodies. One even became an acrobat-so there's that.
If you’re the type of person who’s always promising to “start tomorrow,” look no further because this is all the fitspo you’ll ever need.
A peek at Kourtney’s Instagram will reveal how just much her almost-daily 45-minute workouts have paid off. The mom of three sculpted and strengthened her abs with burpees, mountain climbers, and jump rope-and still keeps up her badass routine.
For the film, Peppermint, Jennifer had to get in insane shape for her physically demanding role and now she's got the arms to prove it. Like her character, who bulks up to avenge the deaths of her husband and daughter, Jennifer saw results through serious dedication to her workouts. The actress paired up with trainer Simone De La Rue, and even documented some of their routines on Instagram.
At 18, Demi checked into rehab to get help for an eating disorder, substance abuse, and self-harm, per People. Fast-forward eight years: The singer and actress built a strong body with the help of her gym, which she calls her oasis.
These days, she alternates between mixed martial arts and weight-lifting, which she does six times a week.
Miranda built an even more fit figure thanks to her trainer, Bill Crutchfield. For top results, he mixed up her routines. “I think variety keeps you mentally fresh and also helps you physically respond better,” he told Women’s Health.
To keep her body toned, Miranda uses exercise bands, she jumps rope, and boxes.
When Xtina decided she was going take better care of herself, she turned to yoga. “Healthy is a state of mind, and it has to come from inside. It is not a situp; it's not a calorie count-I hate that,” she told Women’s Health. Molding a new physique was not her goal, but after one-to-two hour sessions five days a week, it happened anyway.
Pink does all kinds of impressive things onstage (like this high-flying acrobat situation), which means she needs to be in incredible shape to perform.
Her trainer, Jeanette Jenkins helped her reach optimal fitness with circuits that included: jogging, sprinting, pushups, and Pilates core moves.
But Pink revealed in a Instagram post that she doesn’t let the scale determine how she feels about herself-being strong is her goal.
For the past few years, Khloé’s been the poster child for the post-breakup revenge body…she even hosted a reality television show about it. Her first major fitness transformation happened in 2015 when she split from ex-husband Lamar Odom. “The gym was my only refuge. I could put music on and dance around with my girlfriends and be silly,” she told Cosmo.
And now, since giving birth to her daughter True, Khloé’s already working out and getting back to what's now her lifestyle. Her routine now includes hitting the gym five to six times per week, where she’ll box, lift, and do circuit training.
Pistol squats, anyone? Apparently, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is up for them, and she’s good at them, too. After giving birth to her first child, the mom of two, started killing it at the gym at least four days a week with her trainers. "Ever since I became a mom and saw all these strong, fit moms at the gym, it was inspirational," she said.
Since then, she’s been maintaining her muscle and strength with moves including plank pop-ups, lunge jumps, and weighted curtsy lunges.
Teresa competed in a bodybuilding competition this year and placed third for her incredible physique. After 11 months in prison, The Real Housewife of New Jersey star told Women’s Health about how she turned to yoga to keep calm while serving her sentence. Following her release, she transitioned to lifting to keep busy, and transformed her body even more. She wanted to set an example for her daughters about the benefits of hard work. And her Instagram followers got a taste of that inspo, too, when she posted part of her competition gym routine which included weighted jump squats and rope cable pulls.
It’s hard to believe Tinashe works out on top of all that dancing, but the performer loves herself some Pilates. “I do different workouts but Pilates is what I love to do in the morning,” she told The Cut, “it’s a nice ‘wakeup’ workout.” To maintain that tight core, she also drinks tons of water and cuts out things like caffeine, sugar, and soda.
Candace met her trainer, Kira Stokes in 2015, and Stokes took the Fuller House star's body to a whole new level of strong, per Delish.
Though the actress tries to work out at least four times per week, she won’t make any excuses if she can’t make it to the gym. "If I can only do 20 minutes one day, I still go for it," she said. And she’s apparently willing to build that muscle anywhere-she and Stokes have even trained in the Fuller House kitchen set.
Candace’s workouts now include squats with the kettlebell, resistance training, and abs work.
Cameron’s been in tune with her body for some time now; she even wrote about it in The Body Book, where she admitted Taco Bell and sodas were her go-tos.
These days, the former actress is all about the five-minute interval cardio sessions, according to Oprah. Cameron will hop on the elliptical and sprint for one minute and rest for the next before starting her sprints all over again.
To get into Wonder Woman shape (a.k.a strong AF), Gal had to stick with a pretty intense routine for six hours a day, over six months. And she told LIVE With Kelly And Ryan the workout was “a lot more intense” than what she did to prepare for her time in the Israeli army.
Superhero training called for two hours at the gym, two hours doing fighting choreography, and the rest of the time was spent horseback riding.
The most noticeable difference was in her arms, though. To tone them, the actress would hit up the rowing machine, then do pushups for 30 seconds, followed by a 30-second plank hold. She'd repeat that set four times, according to InStyle.
A lover of crop tops, Gwen Stefani, at 49-years-old, is, showing no signs of giving them up. And good thing, since her abs are major inspo. “I've tried yoga and Pilates before, but I just prefer old-school fitness workouts," she told InStyle following the birth of her second child.
To amp up her fitness routine post-baby, Gwen worked out four days per week, doing resistance training with minimal rest time in between moves.
Turns out Jada’s muscles are working just as hard as she is. To help Jada become next-level-strong, trainer Jeanette Jenkins had her stick to rigorous bodyweight moves like: leaning up against a wall, upside down mountain climbers, toe taps, plank walk-outs, and single-leg wall jumps.
And the two still train together regularly. On her own Instagram, Jenkins wrote about her workout session with Jada saying, “Let’s just say my entire core and upper body were sore for three days after this!”
To define her physique, Kim teamed up with trainer Melissa Alcantara, and started hitting the gym early, she told Women’s Health.
Now, Kim dedicates six days per week to weight training paired with a bit of cardio. Kim’s favorite days are lower body, which she focuses on twice a week. Alcantara has Kim do moves including walking lunges, weighted elevated glute bridges, glute kickbacks, and hamstring curls.
