This $12 Target Candle Is One of Lili Reinhart's Favorite Christmas Gifts to Herself

Allow me to be blunt: Holiday shopping is stressful as hell. The pressure to buy thoughtful gifts that my family and friends will actually use seems to grow bigger every year. So, when I'm scrambling to find that perfect gift for everyone on my list, treating myself to something special isn't usually top of mind. However, Lili Reinhart is here to give us all a lesson on how to prioritize ourselves, even during the busiest time of the year.
"I'm guilty of buying myself a lot of things," Reinhart tells InStyle while discussing holiday shopping and her partnership with Affirm, the first pay-over-time debit card, over a phone call last week. (But IMO, she should feel proud, not guilty.) "If things are on sale, I'm like, 'Oh, yeah, I want that!' I just went to Target the other week when I was in LA — it definitely feels very festive and like the holidays when you go in there, so I like to Christmas shop there."
What did the Riverdale actress pick up on her latest Target run, you ask? "I got some really nice candles for my house," she says. (Stars — they're just like us!) It's no secret that Target has a wide variety of fragrant and cute candles, but you might not have noticed Reinhart's favorite before: the Project 62 Wood-Lidded Glass Wellness Intention Candle, which comes in both 12 oz and 8 oz sizes (and costs $12 and $8, respectively.) "It's palo santo-scented and that's one of my favorite scents," she reveals.

The candle is made with essential oils (including thyme) which give off a fresh woodsy scent, and it comes in a clear glass container that will look clean and polished on any countertop or nightstand. But that's not the only Christmas gift that Reinhart is eyeing at Target for herself. "I need to get myself a Keurig for my house," she shares. "I don't drink coffee, but my friends all do, so I'm trying to be a good host in that sense." Okay, so maybe this gift isn't entirely for herself, but I'm still impressed by Reinhart's thoughtfulness, and maybe even more so, her willpower to live without coffee.

The last thing Reinhart is gifting herself this holiday season is actually something she bought for her dad a few Christmases ago: the Theragun G4 Pro. "It's a massage gun for after workouts, and I ended up getting myself one because I liked it so much," she says. "Lately, I've been trying to work out a lot more and I've been really good at it and sticking to it. It's a lifestyle change. I want to feel more active and feel like I have a healthy heart and body."

But aside from the personal wish list items she's taking into her own hands, Reinhart also revealed what she's giving her family (hopefully they don't read this before Saturday.) "My little sister is getting into kitchen gadgets, so I thought an Instant Pot Air Fryer would be a good gift for her," she explains. "And my grandma would appreciate a KitchenAid Mixer."

And last (but certainly not least) on Reinhart's shopping list is her adorable dog, Milo. "I've never done a stocking for him and he doesn't wear clothes, but he loves toys and has a million of them and wants to play with all of them at the same time," she says, laughing. "I'll probably get him some toys and nice fancy treats because he deserves it. There's a Target right by where my parents live in North Carolina, so I'll definitely hit that before Christmas and get him some stuff."
As for what Reinhart is most looking forward to about being home for the holidays after wrapping Riverdale Season 5 in Vancouver? "Seeing my grandma," she says. "My grandpa, her husband, passed away in January, and I haven't been able to see her and spend time with her since then. She and I are really close, so seeing her will really make my holidays. And seeing the twins that my aunt is about to give birth to! New babies are on the way, and that's really fun."
