The real estate website also analyzed list prices, as well as median price per square foot, for single-family homes within 25 miles of the nation’s 10 largest metro areas. The resulting research identifies the top 10 most affordable suburbs in America where people can get the most bang for their buck.

1. Slicklerville, New Jersey
In Slicklerville, New Jersey, which is in the urban metro of Philadelphia, the median listing price for a home is $282,000. You’ll end up saving 20% per square foot for a house that’s only 30 minutes southeast of Philadelphia in Winslow Township in Camden County.
2. Cedar Hill, Texas
You’ll save 23% per square foot if you purchase in Cedar Hill, Texas, which is located in Dallas and called “the city in a park.” The median listing price is $352,000, and the town boasts 229 days of sunshine per year.
3. Palos Hills, Illinois
Palos Hills, Illinois, located in the urban metro of Chicago, has homes available for a median list price of $379,000 and a savings of 24% per square foot. There are only 17,195 residents in this town, which attracts young professionals and retirees.
4. Marietta, Georgia
Just 25 minutes from Atlanta, Marietta, Georgia is home to Glover Park as well as a historic downtown area. You’ll save 21% per square foot and the median listing price is $440,000 for a home.

8. Clark, New Jersey
The median listing price in this suburb, which is near New York City, is $798,000. The savings per square foot is 34%, and the town is home to less than 16,000 people. It’s known for the Dr. William Robinson Plantation Museum and a 9/11 Memorial.
