Cardi B Flexes ‘Still Getting Booked For Millions Of Dollars’ With Only One Album Under Her Belt

Back on April 6, 2018, Cardi B dropped “Invasion of Privacy.” In less than 24 hours of its release, the debut album became certified Gold due to a technicality, according to Billboard.

“The Chart Data states that 10 track units is the equivalent of one album sale, which means that her No. 1 single [“Bodak Yellow”], which is on her album, has already sold 500,000 units, making it Gold status,” Billboard reported, at the time.

The album “Invasion of Privacy” went on to become certified 4x platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and won Best Rap Album at the 61st Annual GRAMMY Awards.

As the critically acclaimed album has reached its five-year anniversary, Cardi B shared how it’s keeping her booked and busy to this day.

Since the release of her debut album, Cardi B has released hit singles such as “Up,” “WAP,” and “Money.” However, there has yet to be official word on the status of her sophomore album. While her fans wait on an update, “Invasion of Privacy” has been keeping checks coming in for the New York rapper.

“Five years! Yeah, I’m still getting booked for millions of dollars with one motherf-kin’ album, b-tch! Yeah, wassup? Ain’t nobody can tell me nothing,” Cardi B said in a video clip.

In December 2022, Cardi B had the receipts to show just how much she makes from high-end bookings. As previously reported by AfroTech, she revealed that she earned a hefty check for her live performance at the Chase Sapphire Lounge for Art Basel.

“I got payed 1 million dollars to perform at this elite bankers event for 400 people and only for 35 minutes,” Cardi B shared in a now-deleted tweet.

As AfroTech also previously told you, Cardi B has claimed that she’s worth more than $40 million.
